I've started smelling gas inside my car. Why? What do I do?
Hi. I have a 2002 Kia Sportage. Everything was OK until about 3 days ago. While driving home from work, the entire inside of the car smelled of gasoline. The next night it didn't happen but last night it happened again. I'm assuming its some kind of exhaust leak, What do I do? My engine light is permanently on also. HELP

    Hello D:

    Take it to a mechanic.

. Open the hood and see if you can locate a leak, if any.

. Attach a code reader to the data link connector, located under the dash, and find out what codes were thrown. Make necessary repairs.

OMG Dotty, get this checked out immediately!!
Sounds like a fuel injector leaking then sealing back up.

I sure hope you don't smell gas again except when filling up!
Did they mention "WHY" the engine light is permanently on?
Your fuel injectors will run very rich (too much gas) if the light stays on
    All the time. FYI
