We have some shared spreadsheets in the office and I am trying to hyperlink between two of them. Basically we have a large spreadsheet of part numbers being used and I created one for actions that need to be done to solve problems with specific part #s. I am trying to hyperlink the two files so you can go through, click on the part number and it takes you to the corresponding action that needs to be resolved. Its telling me that it cannot open the specified file, and I cannot figure out how to make it do so.

Where is the second file located? I'm thinking it could be a rights issue?

Are you trying to create Hyperlinks via the hyperlink formula =HYPERLINK() or by coding the cell using the CTRL-K wizard?

Can you provide a small example of the two files you're trying to link between? Are they stored in the same folder on your computer?
