I have a harbor Breeze ceiling fan with remote control. I'd like to turn the fan off and let the light remain on. I cannot turn the fan Off with my remote, what can I possibly do to fix this issue.

If you can turn the light on and off with the remote but not control the fan you have a remote/receiver issue. Did I understand your problem correctly. Could you control both fan and light sometime in the past, how long ago?
