My friends tell me that being a male, telling about Jesus to a woman, is not my business. She can only be brought to Jesus by another woman. Whereas I believe firmly that if your heart is clean and in tune with Lord Jesus, you watch and identify all your steps, this gender issue should not be in play. Though I know very well that it is only Lord God who can touch and change a person's heart, humans have no power to change someone.

So please tell me if evangelism is gender based?

It shouldn't be, men and women are equals.

It is NOT gender based. Christ did not teach gender based evangelism - and reasonable people cannot teach it based on anything in the Gospels or other parts of the New Testament.

In summary: Your friend is not giving you good advice based on mainstream or historic Christianity.

You friend is very incorrect on their teachings. Now in some cultures of course a male talking to a female is against culture norms. Also if this is someone you don't know, often many groups want to send out teams to tell people about Jesus, often in male and female.

But if you will note from the bible, Jesus and his 12 were all male and they spoke to both male and female.

Friends, I am very thankful to you all for this clarification. May Lord God bless you all. I will surely going to counter my friends, next time they tell me such thing.

Reason I raised this question here is because I am in contact with two women and I am concerned about their salvation. I could be wrong, God forgive me for that, but I am suspecting very strongly that spirit of Jezebel influences their lives. This suspicion arose in my mind when I read on internet about the characteristics of spirits. If they do not follow Jesus, their eternity is at stake big times. And there is no name other than Lord Jesus' which casts out demons. Hence, I try to share Jesus with them. There could one out of 1000 times when they let me talk about HIM, otherwise I am always asked to shut up the moment I start talking about the Bible or Jesus.
