I recently had a month where I had so many signs of pregnancy, but at the 6 week mark, I had my period. I almost feel like it isn't true, but I won't go to a doctor because I'm only 18 and I do not want my parents to know that I have slept with my boyfriend. It sounds like you are not sure you were pregnant.

If you want to be 100% sure, do a pregnancy test, and if it's negative, you know you are not pregnant. It's possible you may have had a very early miscarrige, they are very common, but it's even more likely that your period was just late. There's no real way to know unless get blood tests immediately, and there isn't a lot of point in making a fuss about finding out now.

Accept your warning, remember that taking chances about pregnancy is silly, and don't take any more.

The only way you are going to know for sure whether you are pregnant would be with a positive result on a urine or blood test.
The symptoms of an early pregnancy can be very much like those before a period. Some women feel they are pregnant, and then are disappointed, or relieved, to see their period show. Others feel as though their period is about to start at anytime only to find it doesn't and they are indeed pregnant.

Could it be that your cycle was just off?

Regardless, you really should see your doctor... perhaps go to a planned parenthood, health department, or pregnancy center if you don't want your parents to know. Costs for a pregnancy test are either free or low cost. You can also get an exam as well to determine whether you might have had a miscarriage.

It would be important to know as sometimes a miscarriage may not be complete and that can cause complications.

First step... take a pregnancy test and see what results you have... a recent miscarriage will still show a positive on a pregnancy test. You may have nothing to worry about and it would certainly ease your mind to know.

My problem is that people talk about implantation bleeding and other symptoms. I did bleed about 12 days after sleeping with my boyfriend, but I slept with him right at the end of my period. So I know for sure I didn't have my period 12 days later. In the end, my period came two weeks late, and I did take a pregnancy test at it was negative, but I think I took it too early. Or would it had changed if I miscarried before taking it?

It's just... I never believed that people can tell if they are pregnant. Those people who just "know" that they are. But for three-four weeks, I had that feeling. I had no doubt, I knew I was pregnant. I could feel it. I was surprised that I wasn't really scared or stressed about the idea- it was a fact. Facts are unchangeable and there is no use fretting about them. There also was the weird bleeding thing that happened, and I have never been plagued with two weeks of headaches like those. I barely ever get headaches... I know what my period cramps feel like, and what I felt wasn't normal for that. But then suddenly one day I just lost that feeling that I knew I was pregnant. I felt like my period was going to come. I took a pregnant. Test and it was negative, and my period came a week later. That was almost a month ago, and I still wonder whether I miscarried. I know I am not ready for a baby, but I still worry that I lost one. I haven't felt that same pregnancy worry since, so I don't think I was being paranoid. I just wish I could know for sure if I lost her.

As Eileen said, it may have been a very early miscarriage. Many women have them and often never even realize it.

It may have just been an off cycle... that happens as well now and then.

It's very hard to tell if you are pregnant. I've been pregnant four times, and twice I knew that something was different, twice I had no idea and got a shock when I took the test, and twice I was convinced I was pregnant when I wasn't.

I don't know if it's relevant to you, but I've had a lot of pregnant feelings, followed by a humdinger of a period when I changed contraceptives.

I had the same type of experience. I've been pregnant 3x that I'm sure of. The first, I felt sure, but it ended in miscarriage. The second caught me off guard and ended within a day. The third, was a twin pregnancy and my instincts didn't clue me in one bit!
Instincts can be good at times, but as the others said, Only a test would have told you for certain.

I suspect I had a 4th miscarriage because I was 2 weeks late, but there is no way of knowing now. To me, it sounds like you had a strange cycle because of what you said about bleeding for 12 days right after sleeping with him. No, you probably didn't get your period in that time frame, but it sounds as though it could have been an anovulatory cycle, when you did not ovulate, which would have pushed back your period.
