Wrong to fall for a ex's friend?
    Hello All,
It has been a while since I have posted on here. And a lot has happened. My ex and I have been broken up for about 2 years. And between this time I have stayed single and just did my own thing. From what I heard, she has already been in and broken up in 2 relationship, which I choose not to hear about in detail because it is none of my business. Anyway, during the whole time that I have been single, I have been talking to my ex's friend, and she was there for me during the break up, and we consider each other close friends.

We have been pretty much talking to one another almost everyday for the past year and a half and I started liking her about a year ago. And I call honestly say that I have fallen for her, because she is a totally different person then my ex and has a great personality, I consider her one of my closest friends, who I can talk to about with just about anything. I finally mustered enough nerves to tell her that I like her about a month ago, at first in kind of weird-ed her out, But after a week or so of silence, she called me and we talked and it turns out that she likes me too. But we decided that we would not be able to do anything about it, because she doesn't want to betray her friendship with my ex (In all honesty, she doesn't really like my ex anymore then I do, but she doesn't want to be that type of friend who dates the ex) I told her that I wanted the chance to be with her, but she said she needs time to think about it. Sigh, it just seems like the odds are really stacked against us, because not only is she my ex's friend, but she also lives about 400 miles away from me. We call and text one another everyday, and I just feel so happy whenever I hear from her, even if it is just a simple text.

I guess I am worried that things will not work out between us and that I will lose her as a friend too. Any advice on what I should do? Just talk to her like I normally do? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you keep your text buddy as a long distance friend, and not worry about the romance. For that you have to build a life that you enjoy, closer to home and see the options, and opportunities to date, and have fun where you are.
