Hey guys, I really need a written song by tomorrow. If someone would help me that would be great.

Well that's the thing. Both my parents died and I am 12. I have no money and am living in my friends house.So I don't think I can spend anything

Also, I am in a scholarship in school and if I don't have this song by tomorrrow I am going to get kicked out

I need to ask when did you actually get this assignment? And why did you wait until the day before its due.

Sorry but being a College graduate... I learned you don't put things off, when I was 12 my parents would literally kick my butt if I didn't work on my homework IMMEDIATELY. That was the house rule from the moment I was old enough to actually get homework in school.

And actually it's a VERY good and useful discipline to earn and keep, throughout life.

Actually I'm fairly busy at work and have stuff to do when I get home so I will be unable to help you on this.

What you are saying makes absolutely no sense... I wasn't born yesterday. You don't get kicked out of school over a single homework assignment you was given one evening to do.

I go to Acting school. My 2 of my closest friends didn't write there song, now they are looking for a new school! Yeah you do get kicked out! Maybe not where you live, but definitely at my school

Yeah... ok... I've had 12 years of School and 4 years of College... 16 years total 17 if you consider Kindergarten... and you as a 12 year old minor are going to get kicked out mid-school years for failing to complete ONE homework assignment.

So write something... it doesn't have to be good... and you will turn in something.

Sorry to sound harsh... but if you are having this sort of problems now... they aren't going to get any easier, they will only get harder. Maybe Acting School isn't the right place to be. I know people that left Medical School and Law school because they weren't cut out for it. And have huge Studen Loans to pay for...

Heck I know there are career paths I am not cut out for...

You don't understand! They invited 5 people to that school! Me and 4 others. They said I had an amazing voice! But I just can't write songs. I love it there. Its like my home. You would understand if you had no parents

Parents or not... If you try to use that as an excuse for anything its only going to hold you back.

Rule #1 for success in life... own up to your responsibilities... and as I'm sure you have heard before..

"Carpe Diem" or Seize the day...

Wait for someone to bail you out... and you hand over everything to others.

Find a topic dear to you... listen to a few songs on the subject use that as inspiration to relate to something personal to you. That's what many singer/writes do. Jewel, Bruce Springstein do. They don't pull things out of thin air. Pick a moment out of your life... write a 2 or three minute overview of the experience... then sit down and find words that can fit it to a rhythm while still telling the quick story.

You know you have spent an hour and a half at this point trying to get someone to do ALL the work for you... I gave you some ideas to get you part of the way to actually getting the work done.

After all its YOUR homework... and who is going to actually sit and take hours of their day to do work you don't want to do.

We will HELP you... we won't do your homework for you. There is a HUGE difference between the two.

Do you think this will be the only song you ever have to write in this school? Ever? If someone does ALL the work for you now... then what do you do next time? And the time after that. You are 12, you have another 5 or 6 years to deal with yet.

Sorry, but at some point you are going to understand WHY I said that to you... cheating in school only makes something else harder down the road... and if you never learned the first lesson... that second and third are going to be far harder.

I know that's why you haven't had dozens of people without a life take their entire day out of their life to do your homework for you.


Seriously... take one small thing in your life. Condense it down to a 3 minute story... take that story and rewrite it so that it rhymes and follows some rhythm that suits your tastes.
