It started about two months ago with one line. Currently I have 8 vertical lines in different colors running down the screen of my dell inspiron 9200 laptop. These are very thin line, maybe one pixel wide. Any ideas Anybody?

Hi
A quick Google brought up this page: Fixing a Laptop Monitor
It seems to mention something about lines of dead or forced pixels, which I understand is your problem.
I can't access it from work as it is blocked. But I hope it is helpful.
Dead pixels. Hopefully you got warranty on your bad boy
To be honest mate it sounds to me like either:Quote:

Try connecting a normal PC monitor through the D-sub connector on your laptop
If that works fine then I am afraid to say that your laptop/notebook's screen is on its way out
If in warranty just have dell replace it
If not try Ebay;)
I also have a line problem on my Toshiba laptop. I am now thinking that it is a virus or the graphics card. I have no reason to believe that my laptop should be having this problem. I now have three vertical lines. Started two months ago with one. Someone will figure this out
