I got the depo shot in June and should have gotten another shot in September, but didn't, I decided to not do the shot again due to other side effects besides continual bleeding. So I started the pill exactly one month ago and I'm still bleeding. My doctor told me I would stop as soon as I started the pill pack. Why am I still bleeding? It's annoying and bothersome. Sometimes it's light and sometimes it's heavy. And sometimes I have cramping.

Unfortunately depo can effect people differently and sometimes it can take quite a bit of time to get your system back on track.

Certainly if it continues, or doesn't show a substantial decrease, after another month of being on the pill, check back with your doctor. A pelvic exam and ultrasound would be in order to determine, or rule out, another possible cause.
