My hp laserjet P1005 won't print.it just shows the blue light.the red one doesn't even blink?this just happened today as I put it on.was previously printing well.

Have you tried turning it off and back on? Taken the cable off and put it back on? Also check the manual to see what the lights mean.

Yes I've tried all that but there's nothing... it blinks red while printing.that it used to do previously when it was OK.but now there are no red blinks.could it be motor failure?

If you used a refilled cartridge or a cartridge made by a company other than HP that is probably your problem.

HP just like all the other manufacturers protect their products against 3rd. Party cartridges, toner or ink.

No.I tried the cartridge on another printer and it printed well.
