This happen in uniontown pa but we live in pittsburgh now my boyfriend was charged with a sex offender crime 6 years he spent in jail and was out on parole he stop attending group and missed his po meeting one time but he also missed two crufews which I believe are all techonical violations he turned himself in and is now back in uniontown he only has 3 years left is there any chance they will let him back out on house arrest the funny thing is his po is trying to make up new charges what should we do and what is the most they will do to him for this

No, I don't believe he'll be given house arrest. But, I think his probation will be reinstated. It wouldn't hurt to have a lawyer.

First the PO does not "try" to make up new charges, there either is, or there is not new charges,

If he has stopped going to group, he may get one more change to keep going but he needs to be back in group, if he does not do it ( if they give him another chance) he is most likely gone for a much longer time.

Also remember they look at profiles, what is normally happening if 1. they stop going to therapy 2. they start missing PO appointments 3. they miss curfew It is normally a sign they are starting to disregard the PO , the probation and the rules, also it means they may be doing other things, like drugs ( expect a drug testing) or depending on what type of sex offense he was convicted of, that he may be getting back into that area off crime also

Well just to say he has not been doing anything else and he has never done drugs or anything else his po was awear of everything that was going on that's what makes everything so bad and he claims my boyfriend was not staying at home because he missed two curfews but were thinking that he came around 6 and his po knows his work hours like I said he seems like he is just being an *** about the whole thing because we have a kid and it kills me but I don't let him around them because I always feared something like this would go wrong but does anyone know how long they have to charge him

Is there any chance that his po would get him on this magens law charge even though he never changed his curfew hours knowing his hours of work and everything else because he never stayed out over night and his po knows he lives a half hour from his work and that does not count traffic

You need to understand that once a person is CONVICTED and placed on supervision, they don't have the same rights as a person who's NEVER been convicted of anything, and ISN'T under the supervision of the court...

So, he has FEW rights... One of the right's he DOESN'T have is the presumption of innocence. That means his PO doesn't have to have evidence in order to violate him. He can trump up charges real easy, and they do...

The bottom line is, if his PO wants to, he can screw your BF over. His ONLY protection against that, is to hire a lawyer.
