Hey all,

I saw this film in the 80's and I'm trying to find it again. It was about a girl who had a physically abusive, alcoholic father, who was now trying to stop drinking. She was plagued by dreams where he was a menacing force. A paralysed boy started to feature in these dreams every night. They develop a friendship and he tries to help her escape from her father (still in dreamtime). After a while they start to realise that they are both real people, sharing a dream. At the end of the film she goes to find him, and discovers the boy did exist, and that he has just died.

Anyone know anything?
