    Are you the father? Are you with the mother? How old is your son?

    Yes I am the father not with mother age 6 and I have joint custady

    You would have to go to court to petition for the legal name change. The mother may fight it however. Both parents would have to consent.

    Why have you waited until now?

    I'm also wondering if this question has any relation to your question on DWI laws.
