I am a 25 year old stay at home mom. My parents divorced when I was about 12 and my dad has since remarried, my mom has passed away recently. The woman my dad married is absolutley CRAZY! Shortly after my mom passed away she sent text messages to me stating," One barfly in hell, one more to go" meaning me! She had never met my mom, but because she did not want my dad and I to have a CLOSE relationship,she hates me. She has since started this mess again, sending me HATEFUL and down right disgusting text messges. I have spoken to the police and tried to file a report, but the police wouldn't do it, stating that it wouldn't keep her from texting me in the future. I have blocked contact from my dad and her, but is there anything legally I can do to her for texting me like this? She also made a fake account with a messed up version of my mom's name and sent the worst emails you could imagine to anyone who was close to me, along with putting messages on FB about me and how horrible I am. I have never done anything to her unprovoked. HELP! I'm at my wits end...

So sorry you are going through your situation... I had a nightmare that is/was totally unbelievable, to the point where I was forced to sell my condo.. in short, the person living in the suite below me was law enforcement and had more free time to himself than any other personI know.. he had infrared cameras that enabled him to see outline of my self/person in the evening hours and into the wee hours of the morning, almost laser style... the heat off the laser beam was excruciating, and he directed this beam to the soles of my feet... he literally followed me from room to room from below all with the help of this infrared laser... it took me 6 months to sell my place and I still think about it daily... he also had a monitor on my vehicle to find out where I was in the vicinity of the city... he used to drive into the underground to see if my car was there and drive out when he found I was not parked there, but along side of the street... the police believed me BUT, always exceptions to the rule, not enough proof to warrant a search warrant.. they would knock on his door.he was inalright but did not open as the evidence would have convicted him... every time the police was called, because I could not take it any more they would go right to hi door again and nothing g was accomplished.. the minute they left he upped the charge on his laser beam and on and on and on.. it was a complete nightmare!! The beam penetrated from his ceiling right up to and thru** the floors and I even tried sleeping on the counter tops, anything to get away from the eye of this dam beam no success.. I even tried the bathtub... a nightmare... he followed me EVERYWHERE *** from the confines of his unit... I still feel quilty, because I sold, but just knowing the next gal was also single, she is under this infared monitoring... if he is smart he won't use the beam because numerous reports ewere filed my me and they are being held by the RCMP, if he starts up again, but because he is also law enforecement, he knows the score.. I also know that alll my conversations in my suite were being heard my him and all of his devices... I know this to be true because I would mention to a friend on the phone I would meet her for luch at a certain time and there he wuld be parked near me in the lot and then drive away... I was totally spooked and I will never ever forget what I endured for the months it took to sell... fortunately I made a small profit as I was there 8 years, and liked it but was forced to vacate... I did not know this guy at all.I was just a target because I was single... and the question is how long did he monitor me in my suite before he started this laser... I would be asleep for maybe 4 hrs and then I was awakened by the pain and CONSTANT, CONSISTENCY of his so called FUN, it was sheer torment, and I had to get up for work the next morning... hard to say but trust no one especially in a condo setting... signed bewildered...

You have "blocked contact"? Do you mean that she can no longer annoy you by sending abusive text messages? If so, no, there is really nothing to do about it. Put it behind you and move on.

Yes I haved blocked there number on my phone. Yes for now she can no longer send text messages. Thank you very much for helping!

Pretty much the only threat has been "I wish you would burn in hell!" she has also stated that she wishes that she could make my life miserable like I have made hers... wahtever that meant... LOL!
