Hi Everyone.

I have a 24 yr old son that made a mistake and now has a felony on his record. He lives in Long Island NY and needs to work for both financial reasons and Mental Reasons. I know the market is tough as it is. He is very skilled at fixing things (runs in the family) and he just needs to be pointed in the right direction. Does anyone have any Idea's for Felons in Long Island that are looking for work. Specifically in Suffolk County Long Island, NY. Any assistance would be appreciated.

3. Encourage your son to be frank with the unemployment office people... asking them for advice.

4. Check the local work placement companies to see if they have any special placement situations for ex-cons.

5. Encourage your son to ask ask ask and be honest about his situation with everyone that he speaks with.

#5 is the most important one.
