How damaging is having your hair stripped?
My natural hair colour is a very dark blonde. I have been dying my hair for the past four years and have had my hair a dark red which then lightened to ginger. I have attempted to dye my hair dark brown but it turned out jet black. I used a home kit to dye my hair and it is permanent. I really want to go back to my natural colour and have been advised to have it stripped. Will this be damaging to my hair? Does this have to be done in a salon and any ideas how much it is likely to cost?

    Thanks.

The chemicals that are used to strip hair color can be damaging if not done carefully. I recommend that you go to the salon and have this technique done by a professional. The cost depends on the salon you go to and the length of your hair. You might want to research the salons in your area. Some salons have cheaper prices than others.
