I've been using the pill for about two years now and had unprotected sex after a period using the withdrawal method. I then begun the pill two days late and again had unprotected sex whilst on the pill, this time without the withdrawal method. I was unsure when I was due on because I have always been irregular but I finished the pill yesterday and have had no period although I have had the symptoms a couple of days ago and yesterday. COuld I be pregnant?

If you have had unprotected sex then there is always a small chance that you could be pregnant whether you've used the withdrawal method or not . The pill does not protect you 100% from pregnancy. The only way you can be certain is to go to a family planning clinic and get a pregnancy test from them or you could buy one yourself (they do tend to be expensive mind but a lot cheaper than a baby). Usually the pill helps regulate periods. Have you been taking it correctly? And it's not uncommon for your period to come a couple days after you stop the pill. If it doesn't come within a week or so you should take a home pregnancy test. If you're trying to avoid pregnancy, it's really important to make sure that you are taking your birth control correctly. Even when you do, there is still always some chance of pregnancy. But at least you can decrease that risk. And you can still reduce it even more if you take the birth control correctly and use condoms.
