Sometimes one of my toilet makes the noise of flushing when no one has flushed
One of my toilets will intermediately make a noise as if someone has flushed it. Now another toilet is making a bubbling noise after flushing is finished. I opened the tank cover after flushing and there are bubbles coming up from a shaft on the left side of the tank. Sorry I don't know the name of the part. But it is a shaft that connects to the ball and chain.

Is the tank level 1/2" beneath the whiten overflow tube? Run your finger around the flat side of the flapper. Any wavy or rough edges?

That shaft us called a ballcock. Are you on a pump or city water? Does the water spit at you when you run a faucet? Back to you, Tom,

Water level is OK.. City water. No spitting water. Flapper is OK.

Sounds like the "Phantom" flush! usually caused by a leaking flapper valve. Turn the water off to the toilet and see if the water in the tank drops. If it does, you need a new flapper.

The best way to know if the flapper is leaking or not do as Ma0641 or add some food color to the toilet tank give some time and see if the color shows in bowl, Thanks.
