I replaced our sewage pump almost 3 yrs. Ago. A good pump. $225 worth of good. But now it only hums. It hums for 15 seconds, stops for 2 seconds, and hums for 15 seconds, like it did when it worked. It does this until it throws the breaker in the fuse box. Any advice. If I'm not mistaken, it is a Ridgid we purchased from Home Depot. Thanks for your assistance.

Your pump must be jammed with something that is not suppose to be flushed. Solution is to pull your pump and place in a 5 gal. bucket and take it outside your house to inspect.
