My periods have always been regular. I'm 45 years old in a new relationship for the first time in 10 years. We don't use birth control. My period is 2 days late, but home tests are negative. Am I pregnant?

Welcome to AMHD Victoriaacp. I will try and answer your question the best I can.
Now, you are 45, it is possible to get pregnant at this age, but it is also possible you may be getting near menopause. 2 days is not really considered late, especially at our age, I am 42 BTW.
Just to be sure, have you been unsing first morning urine for the HPTs?
Also, it can take a while longer for the pregnancy hormone (HCG) to be at high enough levels for the HPTs to detect it. So, 2 days may still be a little early to test. Even if the tests say that they detect before a missed period, this is a generalization and does not work on every woman.
this could just be normal because sum peoples bodys change half way in the age but if u are worried its best u go to your doctors.Quote:
