I had this dream last night that I was in this swimming pool with my parents and sister and some man that I've never seen before in my life. I also had this knife, which I somehow managed to make stronger and harder, just by pressing some kind of controls, I then knifed the unknown man in his ribs on his left side with a bit of difficulty, he then made some like gasping sounds and then he died. Then my dream ended and I have no idea what it means, can anyone help?

I don't mean this sarcastically or in a mean way at all, but dreams don't really "mean" anything. Sure, now and then one will have a really obvious dream--say they went to bed hungry and dream about eating a good meal--but dreaming itself is nothing but something that occurs during a certain stage of sleep during which your brain is, to put it in the most rudimentary way, 'regenerating' itself. There are a few theories out there, but regardless, it's a purely organic (and innocent) manifestation. It could be a product of various memories, wants/desires, or just plain "imagination". Nothing to, pardon the pun, 'loose any sleep' about. ;)

I agree with the above poster. However, is their a new man in your life, mom's life, sisters life? That maybe you don't approve of and your scared of letting into your families life?

The dream to me sounds like it's a subconscious act of protecting someone.

Or it could mean nothing.

Ok thank you :) But no there isn't anyone new in my life or my mum/sisters life, which is why I found it so weird
