My old thermostat (White-Rodgers 1D56-310) has terminal Rc, W, Y, G, and 4 (with two red wires connected to it). The new Honeywell RTH230B does not have a terminal 4 but instead has a terminal Rh (Heating Power Supply). I am guessing that Terminal 4 is equivalent to the Rh terminal and that they both take 24V... but why two red wires connected to Terminal 4?. is it safe to connect BOTH of these wires to the Rh terminal?
