How to sell a house when one party refuses
My Mom and I own 2/3rd of a house in NY - we want to sell. My brother the other 1/3rd does not want to sell, does not want to buy our portion. Just refuses everything. Help!

Your only option may be to take it to court and force a sale. How is the property titled at this time? Was this something from an inheiritence?

How can I sell a house in NY when I own only 2/3rds?
My mother and I together own 2/3rd of a house in NY and my brother owns the other 1/3rd. He refuses to sell - we want to sell. He will NOT buy our 1/3rd either. He just want to keep the house - I have tried talking with him, but to no avail. It is a very difficult situation.

You will have to sue him for a partition sale. Contact a real estate attorney about this.
