You can't "create" a domain, you can JOIN a domain if you are connected to a server based network.

That is my understanding too. The only thing that could also be happening is that the person (op) might be outside the U.S. and the word "domain" is actually referring to isp instead. Hope we get to find out.

There is a wizard that allows you to easily connect to your work domain. It's "suppose" to be quick and easy. (I don't have 7 Pro so I don't know)

Have you tried? Are you receiving an error?

The following video shows how to connect to your domain.

Yes you use the wizard to join a domain. If you need help with this you should be contacting your company's IT department for support.

Do you have an IT dept, as this is a trivial job for them to do..
You need Domain Admin permissions anyway.

    • Right click Computer
    • Properties
    • Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change Settings
    • Opens System Properties
    • Click Change Buttin
    • Check the Domain radio button
    • Fill in the details
    • From here you need Domain Admin credentials to register your machine on the domain
    • From here it's all automated with a few OK's to click.
    • Reboot
    • Job done.
