I've been trying to remember the name of this movie I saw as a child, I think it would have been released in the early 1990's or late 80's. It was a cartoon.
The movie began with an old woman sitting in a rocking chair. I think she was reminiscing about her life. The rocking chair was floating through the air. The old woman may have had a younger child on her lap.
I don't remember the storyline of the movie but I know it incorporated several other fairytales including the three little pigs, the ugly duckling and cinderella. The main character was a young girl who I am sure lived with an "evil stepmother". I clearly remember one scene in which the step mother sung a song about being rich and she was sitting in a bath full of money. The woman had long black hair and wore a red dress. I know this woman was a bachelorette.
I think the climax of the movie took place at a ball, like in cinderella. It was definitley a masquerade ball and both the young girl and the stepmother attended it.
These are the only details I can remember unfortunately, and I know they aren't very helpful. I'd just love to know the name of the movie, it's been frustrating me for a long time

I'm trying to find the name of a children's movie, I thought it was "Helen", but that's not right. /its about a little girl who lives with her grNDFATHER IN THE MOUNTAINS. She goes to live with anouther faMILY who has a daughter who is very illl and weak. They bring here to the mountains and she gets better. Any ideas?
