    Too irregular
I am 47, 5'7" and 145 lbs. I have always been right on the day with My cycle. For the last 2 yrs I have been very irregular.
Now I am looking at every 2 weeks for the last 4 or 5 months.. The only RX I take is for blood pressure. My job is semi stressful.
I also have the stress of losing My 31 yr old Son to a terminal condition in the next 4 yrs..
Having a period every 2 weeks is horriable. What could be the cause, if any other than stress?
I'm paranoid about going through My change @ 47.. Could these short cycles be associated with menopause? And what can be done to help.

It is quite likely that they are associated with menopause. Perimenopause can occur for several years for some women.

Certainly it would be wise to see your doctor for a check up to discuss the possibility and to rule out any other possible reasons, such as uterine polyps. Depending on the cause, they can discuss some options that may help with your frequent cycles.
