We are trying to remove our kitchen sink and I have turned the water of by the main water supply,in our hotpress,under the sink and the cold water keeps running in the kitchen please help

I'd guess that either your main valve needs replacing or water is taking it's time draining from any pipes above the kitchen. Did you open upstairs faucets if any?

There should be three ways to shut the cold water off.
1) The angle stop in the cabinet.
2) The house shut off. **OR**
3} The meter or pump shut off.
Are they all bad? Let me know, Tomn

Is this a house ? How many stories ?
Is this a condo ? What floor are you at ?

All turned nothing will work we nearly flooded the place today taking of the sink we still need to get water swithed off
