Heck yeah! I stock up when I see them this low. Typically they can be closer to $7 a pound or more.

An 8oz steak at $4.83 is $9.66 per pound. That's high.

Sorry, I missed the 8 ounce part. Yeah, that is a bit high.

The cost of a rib eye steak CANNOT be rationally discussed WITHOUT discussing its USDA GRADE... It's like discussing the cost of a Ford. You can't do that cause Fords aren't one model. They have cheap Fords, and expensive Fords.

Same thing with steaks. There are rib eyes graded PRIME that ARE worth $15.00/lb. Then there are rib eyes graded GOOD that AREN'T worth $7.00/lb.

I love Rib-eye:D I don't know what the going rate is, I look to see if it's big enough for dinner and a sandwich for lunch the next day and if the price is right (as in, worth it to me:rolleyes:), I buy it. I think it is usually about 10 oz, bone in and $8.00.

I can't always afford the meat excon buys:eek: but I really appreciate it when I can.:)
