Does new compression sleeve need glue?
I replaced the hot and cold valves under the sink. I even bought the compression sleeve puller, it worked for one of them (that thing is not easy to use). I installed the new nut, compression sleeve and valve, sealed it up, no teflon tape. But the new compression fitting is not snug like the old one was. I'm worried it's going to leak. Any advice before I call a plumber and blow a couple hundred dollars?

    Thanks,
    Heather

    Hello Heather,

The sleeve does not need any glue, apply some teflon tape on the valve threads see the image below tighten the nuts turn on the water if it leaks tighten the compression nut some more don't over tight, make sure to use two wrenches, Good luck,
