Hi I was wondering if I could put in a slightly bigger engine in my yard-machines lawn tractor I currently have a 13.5 horse power engine in it that originally was on it but it just doesn't have enough power for the multi things I need it to do. I own a lawn care business and would like a bigger engine! Can I do that?

You can add a slightly bigger engine to most tractors but we'd need to know the tractor model and the engine you want to use, they may just npot be compatible. What does the old unit not do for you?

Well for starters the engine does not have enough power I need to haul slightly big things in a trailer or by a dump cart and it struggles with that! I also want more power for my mower deck it just doesn't give a superior cut. It should be sucking up grass then cutting it sometimes it doesn't cur all the grass I go over but leaves it pushed down. I would also like to do snow blowing wit hit with a small blower but if I can't do that I will buy a snow-blade so I want more power to be able to push more snow! Go for it. From a standard briggs 12.5 hp I have gone to a new 23hp. I made a bulldozer front end for mine that weighs 400 lbs and put a 600lb weight on the back and I can level full dump truck load of gravel in seconds.mine is an old mtd that had a 12.5.you might have to swap the drive pulley to get the right alignment though
