How can my husband adopt my daughter from my previous marriage?
My ex-husband signed over all rights to my 21 month old little girl and I recently got remarried. My new husband would like to adopt her, but I don't know how to go about it or where to start to look for help. I don't have money to go to a lawyer but it would mean a lot to the three of us if someone could help me figure out how to start it.

You and your new husband go to the probate court where you live, ask them how to petition the probate court for adoption. Ask the local bar association is they can offer free legal advice.

Most likely the court will want your ex to sign permission for the adoption, the previous paper may or may not be good enough.

There are some attorneys who work with legal aid society that may do some work for you,
