    Furnace burners won't switch on
I have a Johnson Corp Air Ease furnace with a standing burner. I recently replaced the thermostat with a nicer one. At first, the furnace would run, but never turn off. Now the burners won't kick on at all. I've already narrowed the issue down a bit in jumping the white and red terminals. No luck. The thermostat does allow me to kick the furnace fan into "on" mode without issue. I've checked the voltage coming off the transformer and the gas valve does get ~50volts. I'm stumped - seems like if the issue were the gas valve, the pilot also would not work. What makes the burner kick on?
