Any solutions for whole house low water pressure on city water?
I have a 2 story house 9 years old and last couple of months have been getting water pressure down to a trickle for about a half hour or so then it comes back up. The time it happens is not on any schedule it just happens at least once a week. Any possible problems or answers to this? Has this happened to anyone else?

First off I want you to purchase a hose bib pressure gage, (see image) and monitor the PSI coming from the street when you lose pressure. I'm thinking it might be the citys fault.
Call the water department to ask about any work done in your area. Let me know , Tom

    Hi Gary...

Also, you should check to see if you have a pressure reducing valve on the main water line... see image. It could be that the valve is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced or it could be that the screen is clogged and needs to be cleaned.

Let us know what you find...
