Why does my well pump pressure switch kicking on and off?
Ok I moved my well tank 25' from the original location to my garage so it's closer to softener water heater. My well tank is a 86 gal tank 40-60 .every thing started up OK we went to dinner got home the wife took a show low pressure. Now my pressure switch is kicking in and out won't build pressure. What could be the problem. My pressure switch I left in my crawl space in it's original location. It's not right by the pressure tank .

In moving the well tank,( is this a bladder or a pressure tank?) you must have disturbed some minerals built up on the pipe walls. The first thing I'd check is the small tube that runs from 56the pump to the control box. If it's clogged that could cause your problem. If you have a bladder tank what is it charged at? Get back to me with the results. Good luck, Tom
