    Deeds
We just purchased a house in Florida,My husband, his mother and Aunt I was not put on the loan application because of not having a job when we moved. The deed to the house came and I was not listed. I signed some of the paper work at closing but not everything, because I was not consider on the loan application. Shoud I be on the deed, and can something happen that I will not be able to claim my share of the house.

You have no share of the house since you are not listed on the deed.

You don't need a job to be listed on the loan application. However, if you have a poor credit history, you might be left off the application since it could get the loan denied or require a higher interest rate.

Now it would be difficult to put you on the deed since the lender would have to approve it.

My suggestion is to get a contract signed that acknowledges your interest in the house.

    Hello N,

Depending on WHAT happens, you could claim your share, or not. If what happens is a divorce, you'll get your share.. But, if he dies, depending on HOW title is held, you might not. His mother and aunt might.

I'd pay a visit to a real estate attorney... Take your husband. He wants to look out for you too, doesn't he?
