    Why is my period brown this month?
    My period was 3 days late and when it started it was spotty and then got heavier and is lasting longer than normal. Has been brown the whole time.

    Also my period lasted 9 days

    It is brown when it mixes with vaginal secretions. Your doctor could have told you that.
