How do I attach 2 bathroom sinks to a single center trap?
I have an existing single sink vanity and wish to convert to 2 sinks in the countertop. I want to drain the 2 sinks through the existing 1-trap drain. What type of connector can I use?

There is actually several different approaches to accomplish this task. Let me give you one of them: 2 sinks can share 1 trap so you can install it as shown in the enclosed sketch... Back to you... Milo

    Hi,

Yes, you may drain 2 sinks into one trap as long as your drain coming out of the wall is not to high so it will allow you to make the connections. It depends what drain pipe you'll be using.

You would use what is called a waste baffle tee for brass or plastic tubular drain. Which basically comes out of one sink then 90 degree bent over to the baffle tee in a vertical position to catch the other sink on the top part of baffle tee, then bottom part of tee that is vertical enters the trap.

Or I have seen a different way which is both sinks drain into a twin ell then into the trap. It is seen more in the east coast. I hope this helps and good luck. By the way I forgot to mention that I am a plumbing contractor and adhere to codes. THANKS.

Milo nailed it in his drawing, (see image)' Milo shows a end outlet continuous waste.
The fitting is called a continuous waste. These come in two flavors, (see images) a center outlet and a side outlet depending upon where the wall stub out's located in the cabinet. Good luck, Tom
