How to make only blower motor run on up stairs thermostat
How do I get the blower on my furnace to run on the upstairs thermostat and keep the exhaust fan and auto ignition from running because I hook up a out door wood stove?

Your thermostat should have 2 slide switches, 1 saying "heat-cool" and the other "on-off-auto". Switch the first one to heat, turn the heat down as low as it will go, usually 45-50 and then slide the other switch to the "on" position. Only the blower should work. Are you trying to get the T'stat to automatically operate from the outdoor heater? Lot harder to do but possible. Contact the heater mfgr. they can probably guide you but you'll most likely need another t'stat somewhere.

PS. Other t'stats say cool-off-heat and on-auto. In that case, turn the switch to off and the fan to on.
