I live in a neighbor where all the middle and high school kids come and hang out/play at my house with my children. We don't smoke or do drugs at all but one mom is insisting we are dealing drugs and prostituting out my 13 yr old. She is super religious and dislikes us because we have tattoos and piercings. No one in this house does or allows smoking of any kind and my daughter is a ib student that never leaves the house. I know of 2 parents that she has said not to let their children come over and told them the above untruth. Everyone in the neighborhood has heard these rumors. What to do?

I would contact an attorney and look into obtaining an injunction against the neighbors (an order from a judge that they must stop lying about you and perhaps that they correct what they have said to date), and petitioning the court for the neighbors to pay your legal fees for doing so. In order to be successful I believe your neighbors who have shared this with you may need to be willing to serve as witnesses.

I know this is an extreme reaction but starting a rumor that a 13 year old child is a prostitute can socially ruin a child of that age, particularly if the rumor gets momentum in school and I would not tolerate it for a moment.

But OMG, kids hanging out at a home with people with Tattoos, ( most likely closet bikers) ( LOL)

You ignore them, invite the other parents over and have a good time.

*** next no they are religious nut cases, real religious people are accepting and loving of people of all types.
