When you are sleeping, you sort of go into hibernation mode and your body temp drops accordingly. When you are up during the day, the energy you create makes your body temp go up.
Of course, if you are out in the wintertime, you body temp is going to depend on how you are dressed for the weather. In the summer when its hot, then body temp is accordingly.
Is this what you are asking ?

Actually body temperature is highest in the evening. Thank you for the answer though. :)
Body temperature is highest from mid morning until early evening. As sunlight fads your temp drops slightly, once asleep it drops further until about 4:00 am when it starts to rise and the cycle repeats. I am sure this would be very different story if you were at the north pole where it can be dark for months
