Ok here goes. I've been dating my girlfriend for four years. We have lived together 1 year and we have two dogs together. We are total opposites for 90 percent of things, we argue a lot about her not treating me right, her acting immature, to the point that I'm not attracted to her and she says she is attracted to me. I want to leave, but I just keep getting a glimpse of hope that she will change to, who she use to be deep down inside. But it hasn't happened in like a year. I'm tired of being unhappy. What should I do? When I tell her I'm unhappy she seems to care, but doesn't really care, she never wants to talk and she likes to sleep all the time. She bothers me so bad, but I love her so much. Help me!

Tell her how you feel, tell her that you want to leave. Sometimes it takes drastic things to change people. Maybe take some space and move out just for a few weeks. Give her another chance, but if she doesn't change even after that it's time to find somebody that will make you happy. You need to do something drastic though--let her know she can't just take you for granted. Good luck, I hope you work out

If she is not willing to talk or hear your concerns. Is it really worth it? Did you already answer your own question? Hoping for the best for you and her and maybe one day things will work out for both of you. Eighter together or apart.

It sound like once the initial butterflys wore off you two really didn't have anything in common or anything that could sustain a relationship. Your hanging of but it's at your own expense. She's not going to change and unless you want to change, which realistically isn't going to last long, your just holding on for the hollywood ending. You might as well start the process of moving forward now instead of delying the eventual.

I agree with all the above responses. You both outgrew the honeymoon period and then after the thrills and excitement wore off, you are both holding on in the hope that things will turn out for the better. Maybe time apart could help but it sounds to me as if this relationship is already over in a way, you just have not actually done the breaking up bit. There is no point in being in a relationship which is making you unhappy and if there is no love there, even more so.
