My girlfriend was arrested for domestic violence and released from jail she decided to come with police to the home and pack her clothes and grab things and stay at a hotel. She has been at the hotel for 3 days. She was allowed to stay at the house when she was released but chose not to. I asked her to talk to me about the lease and she refuses. She then sent me a text saying I can do what I want with the house she is getting an apt. I have found someone to rent my house so I can break the lease and get my deposit back, which my mom loaned to me. I want to know if she has given up all rights to the house by leaving so the realtor doesn't need her to sign anything. I am leaving the house at the end of the month to move and she can't afford the home alone. Can I proceed with renting to other people get my deposit back and just tell her that her things need to be gone when the new tenants move in? Or can she just screw me out of this money, stay alone here, get evicted and then I go to court and pay for her not wanting to leave?
