    What is my ethnicity?
I was born in England, with an English passport, but my father is Irish and my mother is Portuguese. What ethnic group do I come under (what would I put on a form)?

With ethnic groups it is whoever you choose to identify with. It's your choice. It's not an exact science so to speak. If you want to say Irish or more broadly , "European", it is up to you. Caucasian is a racial group, somewhat different to a cultural/ ethnic group.

But they did mention "that they would put on a form". And in that case the Caucasian would be the answer, Such as "Pacific Islander" "Caucaisian" "Southeast Asian" "Arab". They use that for general racial statistics.

I do agree however... they probibly misused the correct term in their question.

Assuming they are Caucaisian, many people of dark skin descent have moved into those regions and merely being from there also proves little.
