Do you need to put in a liquid line drier if there was a leak from a crack
I am working on a carrier heat pump that has a common fault which is the discharge line cracks at a bend just outside the compressor. I usually bend up a new piece and install a vibration eliminator inside the unit to fix the leak and install a liquid line drier just outside the unit. The problem being is that the liquids line goes straight into the wall so there is no room to install the drier. Is not putting one in an option if not where else can I put it?
