hey, I'm stressing out a little. I have a question, basically I have cystitus and have been given trimethoprim 200mg antibiotics however I have just finished the course this morning and I don't seem to be getting any better! I have occurred other random aches and pains across my body including quite a lot of iching and I'm not sure if this is related! Any help would be much appreiated as I am due to have an opporation on my jaw on the 28th at east grinstead and I'm told if I am unwell at all it may be prosponed and I have a holiday booked for January! hi katherine, it is cystitis by the way. Is this a recurring problem for you? It can be if you have a compromised immune system, in either case, you have to be absolutely dilgent in your personal care. No tight fitting underwear, always cotton gussets, etc.

If you were put on antibiotics the course would have been for a week and it should have subsided. If not, could be your doctor has not prescribed a strong enough antiobiotic for this viral bladder infection and you definitely need to go back to him. I don't understand the random aches and pains you are experiencing. Usually bladder infections are quite localized and uncomfortable, but the itching is normal

As far as antibiotics are concerned, they are sometimes injected right into the bladder for extreme cases.

I understand your need to get this cleared up; by any chance are you a diabetic ? I am wondering why your immune system is little off.
