My TV cable company tells me that I can drop AOL for everything except email, keep my email addresses and use roadrunner for the web.
AOL seems stunned by the question.
Does anyone know how this works or how to explain it to AOL?

So you are changing providers for some services
I guess knowing what you now use AOL for, and what you are getting rid of and changing to will help
You can tell AOL you want the free plan. As I recall this is done under keyword Pricing Plans. The free plan does not allow you to log in using the AOL client, but you can get POP3 access to your e-mail or use AOL's WEB client to check and send mail.
