My husband is doing 10 years in prison for having sex with a 17 year old. Should I stay married or divorce him? At the time it happened we were already separated at the time this happened.

Divorce is a huge decision. But, if you were separated before, were you already on the path to divorce? Are you willing to wait for him to get out? Do you think you can work out the issues you were having that led to the separation? Plus the issues I'm sure have been added from him sleeping with a minor and being in prison?

We were on our way to a divorce because I found out he had a couple of affairs one of them being the night before our wedding with my sister.

I guess I can't understand why there is even a question,

You were already separated, he had already cheated, is in prison for having sex with a minor.

I guess I have to question why you married him to start with, and why you are even worried about divorcing him.

    Agree with Fr_Chuck 100%.

    Yes, you should divorce him.

    Hello c:

That may be what he's telling you, but nobody does 10 years for CONSENSUAL sex with a 17 year old. Now, if he RAPED her, he could get 10 years...

I would divorce him based on his inability to accept responsibility for what he did.
