I had sex last night and had no problems with bleeding, however today, I started getting this really uncomfortable feeling... down there... and felt like I needed to go to the toilet, which I knew I didn't need to cause I'd already been!
When I went to the toilet, it was mostly just blood! It wasn't the same as my period and definitely wasn't my period! I'm 17 years old and I have had sex before but I've never had this problem!
I'm scared of what it could be and I'm afraid after searching the internet it could be an infection, as it says that this can occur due to one! Is there an alternative reason?

It may have just been due to the recent sex. Some women will experience this the next day due to dryness, irritation, or roughness. If you are due for your period soon, it may also be from that getting ready to start. Sex close to a period may also kick it off a bit early.

See how it goes... if it continues, and you don't think it is associated with your period, have it checked with your doctor.
