First response tests are to be taken 5 days before the test, and not any earlier then that. You took it 7-8 days before your period. I would wait until your period. If it doesn't come when expected, take another test. Typically if it is still negative after your period, you aren't pregnant. But if you still have doubts you can always take a blood test. How long have you been trying, and were you on because before? Also how old are you. These all play parts in trying to conceive.

Let's start with your age, how old are you? Also are you on any brith control, or have you ever been? If so, what kind and how long were you on it, and how long have you been off?

You certainly are showing some signs of pregnancy, but they symptoms can be symptoms of other hormonal changes too.

As for the pregnancy test. As Buggage said you did take it a little too early. It is always best to wait until you have missed a period. I know some tests say that they work before a missed period, but as a general rule it does not work for everyone because levels of hcg (pregnancy hormone) vary so widely from woman to woman. So, you should wait until a missed period and then take a HPT using first morning urine as that is when the concentration of HCG is at its highest.

Yes I agree with J_9, I think you should wait until you have missed your period. Its true that hormonal changes that have nothing to do with pregnancy can throw your body a little out of whack. A few months ago I though I was pregnant but knew it was impossible because of a tubal ligation I had a few years back. But I was having extremely sore breasts and just general "pregnancy" symptoms. I came to find out that its more likely the extreme stress that I've been under the past few months. When in doubt always talk to your doctor. Good luck to you. Hope it works out the way you want it too.
