    Unwanted sibling
My mother resides in an adult community. My sister wants to "stay" for a while. There is concern she is attempting to move in (e.g. squat) permanently. My mother is about to enter an assisted living and we are concerned my sister is going to have her address changed to my mothers and once my mother has been relocated stay on for good. Is My, and my other sisters concern valid?

    Thank You

I really can't say if your concern is valid, not knowing exactly what you are referring to, and not knowing your family dynamics. Do you mean your sister wants to move into the assisted living facility with your mother? Or, living with you.

She certainly cant, as I can see it, move in with you if you don't want her to. After all, I am assuming this is your home, right ?

Maybe you can clarify a little just where your sister wants to live.

Huh? Whose product needs a bandaid?

I'm a little confused about what you're trying to ask to. When my grandmother was in an assisted living place they charged extra if my grandmother even had a guest over night. Is the assisted living place the place your sister is trying to move into? If that's the case, the place may not even allow it.

Huh is right ! My questions was answered again with the same question. No Assisted living establishments will not allow a sibling living with the paying client, unless the sibling has the need for assisted living accommodation as well.

I await an answer as well to the comment about 'product needs a bandaid' !

Let's cut to the chase here. Ok?

The sister/ grand-daughter appears to be planning to stay over-night and then stay, against the wishes of the facility, the grandmother, the OP, and everyone else. If so, it may very well be that under the laws of where-ever they are, they would have to go to court to evict the woman. And, since this can't be done immediately, OP or her GM might be required to pay the extra charge incurred daily and until the intruder can legally be "escorted off the property".
